Skids4Kids USA:

  At Skids4Kids USA, our mission is to provide critical support and resources to underserved children throughout the United States. We are committed to ensuring that every child has access to education, healthcare, and a safe environment in which to grow and thrive. Founded by Andrew Angeli in Springfield, Missouri, Skids4Kids USA is a registered nonprofit organization. The origins of the charity trace back to the burnout meetups Andrew hosted at a local shop, which over time, grew into a community of several hundred participants. After seeing the potential to bring people together for a larger cause, Andrew decided to host a significant event at the local dragstrip. The goal was never to profit, but to create an enjoyable experience for car enthusiasts while giving back to those in need.

  As the support from local businesses and individuals grew, the vision for Skids4Kids USA began to take shape. With the event successfully funded through generous sponsorships, attention turned to the first beneficiary: Benny, a local child in need of a specialized manual wheelchair.

Benny was diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 2, a rare and severe form of a genetic bone disorder that significantly affects bone growth and healing. When Benny and his family were identified as the recipients of the first Skids4Kids USA fundraiser, they were filled with gratitude. Benny, who quickly became known as "The Skids4Kids Kid" was excited to be a part of the event, and the community rallied behind him with overwhelming support.

  On Father's Day 2021, Skids4Kids USA hosted its first official event at Ozark Raceway Park in Rogersville, Missouri. Thanks to the generosity of participants, 60% of ticket sales, all raffle proceeds, and 20% of merchandise sales were donated to the cause. The fundraiser raised over $6,100, which was enough to custom order Benny's new wheelchair and provide additional support for ongoing medical expenses. Benny, who faces daily challenges that most of us could never imagine, continues to inspire with his resilience, positive attitude, and joy. Despite his condition, he enjoys playing video games competitively and, like many kids, has a passion for watching burnout videos. Skids4Kids USA remains dedicated to supporting children like Benny—children who face extraordinary challenges but continue to live with extraordinary strength and spirit.
